One of the main goals of styling looks in Pocket Styler is to become a Trendsetter for the upcoming Season. Becoming one rewards players with gems, a Badge, and fame.
In-game Season starts on the first day of each week and lasts 7 days, during which players earn Crowns to reach higher positions in the Weekly Leaderboard.
Weekly Leaderboard and Group Formation
With every new Weekly Season start, each player is added to the competition group, which is visible on the Leaderboard and can be accessed by clicking the Leaders tab at the bottom of the screen. Each Group may have from 45 to 55 players in it, as it is formed up in a randomized way.
The position of a player on the Leaderboard is determined by the number of Crowns earned during the Season. Crowns are earned for the results of the submitted looks. Generally, the higher the look's rating is, the more Crowns a player receives, yet they can boost the final amount of Crowns using dedicated Consumable items to help them reach higher positions in the Leaderboard.
Please note: the Crowns counter updates automatically once a player has a result ready to claim, not after they claim the results from the Main Map. This means that after a player claims the rewards for the look's result, their Crown counter won't update, as it was already updated once the result was ready.
The Leaderboard is split into six sections, determining the player's final reward after the Season ends. The Ranks are formed based on the number of players and do not have an entry cap. The more Crowns a player has, the higher they are positioned on the Leaderboard.
Rank E: the last 10-20 players of the Season would receive 200 in-game Cash;
Rank D: 13 players would receive 50 in-game Gems;
Rank C: 8 players would receive 100 in-game Gems;
Rank B: 5 players would receive 250 in-game Gems;
Rank A: 3 players would receive 500 in-game Gems;
Rank A+: the best player from the Group would receive 1000 in-game Gems, a Trendsetter badge, and become a Trendsetter for the next Season and its Leaderboard group.
Every player from the current Leaderboard has the same Trending items and the same Trendsetter.
Please note: if two players have the same amount of Crowns at the end of the Weekly Season, a random one will be selected to become a Trendsetter.
Becoming the Trendsetter
In order to become a Trendsetter, a player needs to accumulate the highest amount of Crowns among others in their Weekly Group.
Once they become Trendsetters, they may be placed into a new group formed for the new Season, and they will be Trendsetters for these players.
Trendsetter's profile and look can be checked by going to the Leaders section -> Trendsetter tab. To check the look, please click the info icon. It is possible to buy the whole Trending look from there or the individual items. The Trending Limited items can be purchased from this section.
There are three Badges related to the Trendsetter status:
- Trendsetter — become a Trendsetter;
- Winner's Streak — become a Trendsetter five times in a row (the current streak is shown in the progress bar of this Badge);
- Birthday Trendsetter — become a Trendsetter during the Birthday Weekly Season (this Season is dedicated to the Pocket Styler anniversary in May).
The Trends set statistic listed in the Trendsetter info tab is a combination of both Trendsetter and Birthday Trendsetter Badges.
