The Pocket Styler Studio allows designers to move beyond flat patterns by using 3D Decor items. These elements — such as buttons, zippers, pockets, and textures — add physical depth and realism to your garments, making them stand out in the in-game Shop.
Accessing the Decor Menu
To begin adding three-dimensional elements, you must first navigate to the correct toolset within your design workspace.
Open your project in the Pocket Styler Studio editor.
Select the Decor Tab from the main tool menu (usually represented by an icon of a button or a small embellishment).
Browse the Library to find the specific 3D item you wish to add, such as hardware, stitching, or trim.
Placing and Adjusting 3D Decor
Once you have selected a decor item, you can customize its appearance and position to fit the unique silhouette of your garment.
Drag and Drop: Place the selected 3D item onto your garment layer.
Transform: Use the scaling and rotation tools to ensure the item matches the proportions of your clothing.
Layering: Ensure the decor is placed on the correct layer (e.g., buttons should be on top of the fabric layer) to maintain the 3D effect.
Coloring: Most 3D decor items allow for color customization to match or contrast with your primary fabric choice.
Using the Model Layer for Realism
The Model layer acts as a 3D guide. To make your decor look truly realistic, you should align it with the natural curves of the body.
Follow Body Curves: Place decor like belts or zippers along the natural contours of the waist or hips shown on the Model layer.
Fabric Tension: Add 3D details like buttons or seams in areas where the fabric naturally pulls or joins to enhance the "volume" of the garment.
Shadow Management: Many 3D decor items come with built-in shadows. Position them so they align with the general lighting of the model for a cohesive look.
